The Absa L’Atelier is dedicated to identifying, nurturing, and supporting emerging visual artists, providing a vital platform for young talent to make their mark within the African visual art landscape. Over the past four decades, the Absa L’Atelier has played a pivotal role in launching numerous successful artist careers in the visual arts. The Absa L’Atelier offers highly sought-after, career-sustaining prizes that enable winners to further develop their practice alongside international artists from across the globe. These include masterclasses, mentoring, an international residency, and a solo exhibition. These opportunities are designed to support long-term artistic growth and help propel promising artists onto the global stage. As a result, the Absa L’Atelier continues to attract hundreds of entries each year. Whether you are self-taught or a professionally trained artist, we extend an invitation to you to enter.
