Aimee Lindeque

Aimee Lindeque is a South African painter from Mpumalanga. She moved to Cape Town in 2014 to study Fine Art at the University of Cape Town’s Michaelis School of Fine Art, where she majored in sculpture.
Since graduating, she has taken part in numerous group exhibitions across South Africa. Her paintings have a strong illustrative influence, detailed line work, and tend to use a limited colour palette.
She is part of a studio collective in Salt River, Cape Town, called SideTrack Studios. Alongside painting, her practice has recently expanded to include screen printing, which builds on the graphic qualities in her work.
This exhibition at the AVA Gallery marked her first solo exhibition.
