The Salon at the AVA is gallery cum office space fronting on the Church Street Mall, art hub of the city centre and home to many tourists, visitors and locals.
As opposed to AVA’s four formal exhibition spaces which host changing four-weekly exhibitions, the Salon is a relaxed area where artwork by artists from the region is showcased for longer periods in an informal, non-curated space, without focusing on any specific themes, genres or styles. Most of the artists featured here have exhibited with AVA at some stage, but new artists may be accepted after consultation with gallery staff.
Currently The AVA Gallery is proud to have a beautiful selection of artworks from The Creative Block project. http://www.creativeblock.co.za/
All works are for sale and are immediately available to the public. Other works by Salon artists can be sourced by arrangement.
Credit cards are accepted and works can be freighted abroad, however customs duties and transport costs must be covered by the purchaser.
